In Germany, one in five people over 65 feels lonely. That's a lot. And we are convinced that our hobby can change that. Because knitting and crocheting bring people together in a very natural way – you sit together, you have something in your hands, and you're already talking. This is exactly the idea behind our project "Stitches for Society": At our Gründl Stitch Meets, seniors regularly come together, exchange ideas, and get to know each other. We have partnered with the RETLA e.V. support association, which advocates for the well-being of seniors. We always knit and crochet for a good cause: Every three months, we dedicate ourselves to a new social project – such as "Comfort Bears" for the comfort boxes of the Hauner Children's Hospital in Munich.
