A lot has happened at Gründl in over 90 years. It all started in 1933, when Max Gründl founded the company in Ingolstadt. As a local supplier, we used to supply the "Tante-Emma-Läden" (mom-and-pop stores) in the region with a diverse range of products. At one point, we even ran a department store, before gradually specializing more and more in yarns for knitting and crocheting.
Trade means change. Markets shift, needs evolve, new generations bring new ideas. Those who stand still get left behind. We have always actively shaped change for ourselves, and we continue to do so. You could say: We are a startup that is over 90 years old.
