1 ball = 1 sweater! The Wonder Sweater is your new favorite project for cozy winter days. From just one ball of Gründl Wonder Sweater, a complete sweater in size 34/36 is created – for each additional size, there are matching size-up balls. Particularly practical: You decide whether you prefer to knit Top Down or Bottom Up.
Gründl Wonder Sweater is a pleasantly soft, fluffy yarn blend of 46% alpaca, 35% wool, and 19% polyamide. It is feather-light, dimensionally stable, and at the same time voluminous – perfect for sweaters that provide warmth without being heavy. The color gradient develops automatically directly from the ball – the pattern develops by itself as you knit, no matter if you start at the top or bottom.
With Top-Down knitting, the sweater is worked from top to bottom in one piece – usually in the round on a circular needle and later with a set of double-pointed needles for the sleeves. This method allows for seamless finishing and a perfect fit, as you can individually adjust the length and fit. Those who prefer to work more traditionally can choose the Bottom-Up variation – the color gradient then starts at the hem and develops upwards. Both variations are knitted in the round and result in the same beautiful color gradient effect.
