Crochet lions in cooperation with Miralay.Art

My account and business name comes from my daughter Samira's first name and our family name Kalay, and .art stands for art.

On my page, I mainly offer 3D picture frames with small crocheted animals, which I make to customer request. From that, several of my own crocheted animals and the matching crochet patterns have emerged. Most of them can be purchased. Every now and then, I thank my followers with a free crochet pattern. In autumn/winter I really enjoy knitting. Headbands are my favourite, and I also make them to customer request. Otherwise, I show everything in my feed that jumps off my needle. Sales, however, are limited exclusively to crocheted items that do not require CE marking.

I am also 38 years young and a mother of three children. I live with my family in the Stuttgart area.
My favourite hobby - who could guess - is, of course, crocheting and knitting. It is also wonderful when I find the time to read and disappear into my dream world. Sport is important to me too, although there is often not enough time. Recently I discovered hula hooping for myself.
I love being out in nature and I love lakes. "When I see the lake, I no longer need the sea" - I would love to move to the Allgäu immediately. I prefer spending my free time with my family and I love cosy barbecue evenings with friends.

I started crocheting and knitting very early - in my childhood. For a long time, however, I only knitted/crocheted "straight ahead" and without patterns. For my children, I wanted to crochet more than just a little blanket or knit a scarf, and I fell in love with the cute little amigurumi animals. In the end, I learned this wonderful craft through YouTube videos.

I get a lot of inspiration from Instagram or Pinterest. Most of the time, though, ideas come to me at night: suddenly an idea falls onto my head in my sleep, wakes me up and then will not let me fall asleep again quickly. I cannot draw my thoughts; the ideas always have to be brought straight out of my head. The day can feel long until I finally get to pick up my crochet hook in the evening.

For me, the easiest thing is simply to start crocheting and, if the community likes it, to write a pattern for it. First, I create a template and write the text. The little animal is crocheted again while the text is adjusted and photos of the individual steps are taken. All patterns are crocheted and checked by test crocheters before I offer them for sale in my shops.

A life without crochet is possible, but pointless.

A hat or a scarf - I honestly do not remember exactly anymore...

Absolute buying recommendation! I was able to crochet the lion wonderfully with the chenille yarn Funny uni. The magic ring worked without any problems, frogging was no issue, and best of all, I had no fluff on my sofa. The lion turned out beautifully cuddly. The existing colours are great, and I hope a few more will be added.
