A brief guide to color – colorful, but please with feeling

Many projects are created from exactly that: intentional color choices, but without rigid rules. How about a patchwork blanket? Or a sports bag, an oversized scarf or a new sweater where you follow the colors of the rainbow? Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet; the sequence automatically brings harmony. Or combine colors that sit opposite each other on the color wheel, known as complementary colors, such as rich orange with strong blue. The result is a beautiful contrast that catches the eye without clashing. And if you simply want to test how colors work together, place a few balls of yarn in different shades next to one another. You will be surprised how quickly new favorite combinations appear.

For everyone who wants to move step by step toward more color, we have a little trick: white or natural shades as the base, strong colors as eye-catchers.
