One-sided vs. two-sided increases:

Two-sided increases: e.g. for sleeve shaping in the knit rows before and after the selvedge stitch One-sided increase: e.g. side shaping for the front part of a jacket or for special triangular shawls (trapezoid shape).

Increasing by more than 3 stitches:

Gründl Wolle

1. At the beginning of the row: knit 1 stitch from the 1st stitch, the 1st stitch remains on the left needle, with the left needle insert into the stitch on the right needle from right to left and lift the stitch onto the left needle The next stitch is knitted from this "new stitch". All further stitches are always knitted from the last formed stitch.

2. at the end of the row: the stitches are not knitted on as at the beginning of the row, but loops are formed around the right needle: The working yarn runs from the right needle behind the index finger and thumb of the left hand to the front (hold the yarn a little with the ring finger and little finger, similar hand position as when casting on) With the right needle, pick up the working yarn next to the thumb from bottom to top, pull the index finger and thumb out of the loop and tighten it.
